| Au Pairs Care and Build Bears for Interfaith |
|
January 10, 2010
Interfaith Council was fortunate to be the recipient a joint venture between AuPair Care and Build a Bear. AuPair Care arranged for their Au Pairs to meet at the Build A Bear Workshop in Rockaway, NJ and, at their own expense, make a stuffed animal for our families at their own expense. Build A Bear also donated toward the cost of the clothing for the individual bears. The Au Pairs all had a fun experience making the bears as well as a greater understanding of the problem of family homelessness in Morris County, NJ.
A BIG THANK YOU TO BOTH AUPAIR CARE AND BUILD A BEAR!!
TOGETHER YOU HELPED PUT A SMILE ON THE FACE OF MANY CHILDREN

| Families Hold Holiday Collection for Interfaith |
December 13, 2009
Meerwarth/Pester families and friends celebrate the holidays with gifts to Interfaith Council and our families!!!
In 2008, the Meerwarth/Pester families celebrated the excitement of a new house by holding an open house. Instead of house warming presents, folks brought items from Interfaith Council's wish list. This year, the holiday season was another good reason for family and friends to gather and once again, they have chosen items from our Wish List and made donations to Interfaith Council and our families. Thank you so much for your generosity of spirit and action!!

As part of the new Central Park of Morris County, awarded by the Board of Chosen Freeholders, three local nonprofit organizations, including Interfaith Council, held a House Warming and Open House on Wednesday, October 14, from 12:30 -7pm. The presentation began at 1pm with a key ceremony, followed by a blessing of the house and the hanging of a Mezuzah. We also honored our Day Center partners with a special recognition for their donations.
Speakers included representatives of the Morris County Board of Freeholders and the Morris County Department of Human Services, as well as Interfaith Executive Director Joann Bjornson.
